Philippines Bible Missions

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” Matthew 28:19

The missions work in the Philippines is God’s working through the Filipino Bible Study of the True Life Bible-Presbyterian Church. Convicted by the twin doctrines of Verbal Plenary Inspiration and Preservation (VPI and VPP) taught in FEBC, the Bible Conference movement was started in 2011 in Central Mindanao University, Musuan, Bukidnon with the theme, “Is The Bible Perfect Today?” Since then, this Bible conference is conducted bi-annually as Pastors and Workers’ Bible Conference.

In 2012, the Vacation Bible School (VBS) movement was initiated with the gathering of children around the home village in San Juan, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental to teach them Bible lessons. The VBS extended the coverage to other Fundamental Baptist churches in Bukidnon. Now, the annual VBS is conducted mostly among Bible-Presbyterian Missions Churches of True Life BPC. A few Fundamental Baptist Churches still avail the VBS teachers and materials. There have been some VBS teachers’ training conducted in the past to help other churches’ teachers to properly teach the VBS lessons.

The ministry to the youth began in 2013 through the Teens Bible Day Camp in Gingoog Fundamental Baptist Church which grew to become the Young Peoples’ Bible Conference (YPBC) in 2014 and held bi-annually until today. The YPBC is conducted in Central Mindanao University, although during the COVID pandemic, the conference was held in individual churches by watching recorded messages.

The Bible Equipping Seminar and Training (BEST) started as a quarterly training of lay pastors in Bukidnon in 2016. These pastors who are preaching in small churches are without proper Biblical knowledge and training. The Lord laid this burden to teach them Systematic Theology which ended in 2018. This burden to continue to teach lay preachers and teachers made the BEST progress into Bible Equipping School of Theology to teach the basic knowledge of the Bible online.

The mission churches of the True Life BPC begun when the Lord moved the Filipino Bible Fellowship to send out Bro Deccarlo Igot and Bro Jude Gabales monthly to minister to the Christian Bible Fellowship in Lapu-lapu City, Cebu in 2018. This fellowship is now known as Christ BPC which was followed by the Trinidad Missions work and the Mindanao stations. The Lord continued to bless this church-planting movement where we have a few mission stations in Luzon to this date.

The tract translation into Cebuano and Tagalog in 2017 were done for the use of evangelism. This was followed by the Cebuano and Tagalog translation of the Read, Pray and Grow (RPG) devotional which began in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Today, only the Tagalog RPG is published in printed form due to the increased cost of printing but digital forms are available for both translations.

The Radio ministry, “Ang Pulong sa Dios” (The Word of God) is a privilege given by Central Mindanao University radio station, DXMU-FM, to air an hour of Biblical messages based on the Theology for Every Christian every Sunday. Today, the broadcast caters the needs of the kids and the young people every second and fourth Sundays, respectively. The broadcast is in the Cebuano dialect. YouTube videos of the radio broadcast is also available.

May the Lord continue to bless the mission works of True Life BPC in the Philippines and other parts of the world!
