ANNIVERSARY THANKSGIVING GREETINGS

We remember today the goodness of the Lord upon True Life Bible-Presbyterian Church for her 18^th year of existence since her founding in 2003. We must give back the praise and glory to our Lord for raising up a church with leaders whose hearts are burdened for the salvation of Filipino souls also. Even before True Life BPC, our founding pastor, the late Rev Dr Timothy Tow, had a ministry for Filipinos in Life BPC through the Filipina Worship Service. This concern for the Filipinos was not left behind in Life BPC but was carried on in True Life BPC when the Filipina Bible Study was started.

We are thankful to the Lord that this compassion for Filipino souls did not pass away when the Rev Tow went home to be with his Saviour in 2009. When the baton was passed on to Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo to pastor True Life BPC, the ministry to the Filipinos continued to be well taken care of. The support of the church grew until the Lord gathered us today as the Filipino Bible Fellowship (FilBF).

As a fellowship, the Lord blessed us with the free use of Godhill for our services and prayer meetings. Many souls have come and heard the Gospel through this place which God opened for us. Let us work hard for more to come so that this place will be fully utilized for the glory of God and to impart the privilege we have received from the church to occupy the place on the Lord’s Day.

The work in the Philippines is backed by the guidance and provisions of True Life BPC. The Lord uses the church to plant missions stations in the Philippines. So far, the Lord established Christ BPC in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Trinidad BPC in Trinidad, Bohol, and Golgotha BPC in Valencia City, Bukidnon. The True Word Bible Fellowship is also in Cebu City. We pray that the Lord will call a full-time preacher for a church to be established. We pray the Gingoog missions station which is currently a ministry for children and youth in Misamis Oriental may grow to reach out also to the adults for a regular Bible fellowship meeting.

The True Life BPC is instrumental in the Missions Bible Center in Bukidnon. This Center helps to coordinate the continuing work in the translation of the RPG devotionals to Cebuano, the radio ministry, the Bible conferences for pastors and workers, young people, Sunday School teachers and VBS teachers, the Vacation Bible School (not done for the past two years because of the pandemic), and recently, the Bible Equipping School of Theology (BEST) which is an online platform for laymen and women workers from churches in the Philippines who desire to learn the Word of God (including some members of the FilBF).

There are also a number of Filipino online students supported by True Life BPC for the past years. These students are taking courses from the Far Eastern Bible College (FEBC) with their school fees fully shouldered by the church through the Distance Learning for Pastors and Church Workers (Philippines) scholarship.

The Lord made True Life BPC the host of many students who come to FEBC to study full-time for the ministry. I for one was a recipient of such a blessing and probably the most longstanding dependent on the church’s provisions. Being a student of FEBC for such a long time (10 years), the church did not fail to be there to help me and even my family.

We pray the Lord will bless the church for more years of service and missions until the Lord Jesus returns. Let us pray for our pastor, the Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo, and the church Session for the Lord to grant them one heart and mind to obey and fulfil God’s will for the church. Let us also pray for the members that the Lord will continue to protect and preserve them to grow spiritually in the Lord.

To Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo and members of True Life BPC

Dearly beloved, we rejoice with you and congratulate you on your 18^th anniversary. Watching you and praying for you all these 18 years, we have been blessed by your testimony on how you have gone through the battles for the Word of God. Indeed, we remember we are one of the earlier churches which declared that we stand with Rev Timothy Tow and you in your battle for the perfect Word of God.

Today, we see the good hand of God in prospering True Life BPC by the fruit of the Spirit in the church members and in the increased membership. May God continue to bless the work of True Life BPC especially in this time of trials and tribulations in these last days. Yet we glory not in the past but strive more for Christ remembering Philippians 3:12–16, “Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.”

We look forward to meet you in the near future when God allows us to do so when the Covid-19 is not an obstacle.

Dear True Lifers, praise and thankful to God for His mercy and grace in keeping True Life BPC from the starting point till today. It is really God’s wonderful grace to preserve and bless faithful churches which stand firm on God’s Word.

We share our joy and grateful hearts with all True Life BPC members as you celebrate your 18^th anniversary. True Life BPC is standing firm on God’s Word and is faithful to God’s Word. It is very encouraging and you set a good testimony and good example for us. We are a small church in Cambodia but we really praise and thank God for His blessing on True Life BPC because of her faithfulness. God is really using True Life BPC to be a blessing to many people with the pure Word of God and God has also made True Life BPC to be a channel of blessing toward many churches in many countries around the world for the extension of God’s kingdom.

May the Lord continue to keep and bless True Life BPC to be a good testimony and a channel of blessing for God’s glory.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Cor 15:58).

Dear Rev (Dr) Jeffrey Khoo, Eld Mern Yee Tai and the Session of True Life B-P Church

We warmly greet you in the blessed Name of our risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We give thanks and praise to the Lord for His goodness and blessings upon True Life BPC over the past 18 years since our founding Pastor, the late Rev Dr Timothy Tow, who left Life BPC, the church he had founded and shepherded for 53 years with much love, sacrifice and labour, to establish True Life BPC for the sake of God’s Word and his faith in the perfect inspiration and perfect preservation of the Holy Scriptures, the traditional Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek Texts underlying the King James Bible.

We thank God for using True Life BPC to support FEBC, the Bible Colleges, churches, and missionaries overseas including us to extend His Kingdom. We are thankful to the Lord as well for calling Pastor Jeffrey Khoo to succeed Rev Timothy Tow as Pastor of True Life BPC to take care of His flock.

We praise the Lord and rejoice with you and True Lifers on your joyous occasion of True Life BPC’s 18^th Thanksgiving Anniversary today. May God be with you and bless your Thanksgiving Service abundantly despite the Covid-19.

Warm greetings to you on your 18^th anniversary from GAPPI Getsemani Session and church members. We thank God for True Life BPC for how God has used you. Personally, I am thankful for your prayers and support for me, since the first day I entered my studies at FEBC, even until today. I cannot return to you but just try my best to serve the Lord and continue to pray for you—praying that I can also do something for you in due time.
