We praise and thank the Lord for another mission station in the Philipines, the True Word Bible Fellowship in Apas, Cebu City. The meeting every Sunday afternoon is held at brother Jude Thaddeus Gablaes’ residence. Let us pray for him, his family, friends and workers that through the preaching of God’s Word, souls will be saved! Let us pray for brothers Johnny Rey Ebin and Kenneth Guillas as they minister at the fellowship meetings.

FILIPINO ONLINE STUDENTS

We thank the Lord for His favour upon the Filipinos through True Life Bible-Presbyterian Church (TLBPC). The Lord moved the hearts of our Pastor and Session not only to reach out to the Filipinos here in Singapore but also to equip the preachers and teachers of God’s Word in the Philippines. Below are some testimonies of our brethren who are recipients of the TLBPC’s Filipino Pastors and Workers Scholarship to study online at Far Eastern Bible College (FEBC).

Pastor Manuel Fabe Atinen

Greetings from me, my wife, and three children. First and foremost, we would like to assure all of you that we, and the church of Gingoog City, are always praying for you. I would like to let you know that I’m so thankful for your love as brethren and your prayers. Your love and prayers are highly appreciated and your continual financial support of my online studies for about 8 years now, since 2013. God is glorified and honored by loving and faithful Christians like you (1 Cor 15:58, Gal 6:10).

My first online course was the Petrine Epistles from July to November 2013. From that time until now, I have earned 31 credits and completed 18 subjects. As a pastor, my prayer and desire is to continue to study the Word of God deeper and deeper. My focus and purpose to study is to be able to teach others. In fact, since the very beginning, I have prepared many sermons and Sunday school lessons through my studies. Yes, it really helps and it is a blessing to study FEBC’s online courses. Once again, thank you so much to all who are always praying for me and supporting me financially. My greetings also and thanksgiving to all my online Bible teachers, thank you so much. May we continue to do our best for the glory of God while waiting for His coming! To God be the glory!

I am a missionary pastor here in Gingoog City, Philippines. Together with my family, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to True Life Bible-Presbyterian Church for your prayers and support for my online studies at Far Eastern Bible College. I am grateful to God to have this great privilege that I can learn more His Word online because it helps me a lot in doing my ministerial work. Our prayer is that God would bless you more abundantly and continue to strengthen your faith to be more faithful in serving Him. Lastly I would like to quote Hebrews 6:10 “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Thank you and God bless you all!

Prof Patria P Solidum

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you for the loving kindness you afforded me in many ways. I am one of the FEBC online students from Mindanao whom you have supported for several years already. Praise God that each course is useful for the Lord’s service. I’ll be seventy in November and I notice the slowing down of my faculties, and I am not so healthy because of hypertension but I thank the Lord for sustaining me in my activities. Please pray for me as I help the Filipino Bible Fellowship in translating the RPG to Cebuano.

I will continue to pray that the Lord will keep on moving your hearts to help people around the world through missions. I pray for the good health, spiritual and physical strength, wisdom and guidance of Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo and the Session of TLBPC. I also pray that more young people from the church will be moved to serve the Lord full time. Not to forget Mrs Jemima Khoo and Mrs Ivy Tow, I pray for God’s healing and comfort upon them.

Dr Einstine Opiso

I praise and thank God through Jesus Christ for you all for your continued support for me. I am one of the recipients of your scholarships for pastors and workers here in Mindanao, Philippines. My family and I are always grateful for I have been an online student of FEBC with your support since 2011. I have already gained more than 20 credit units and I praise God for the sound biblical doctrines that I have learned from God’s infallible and inerrant Word through my online studies.

I also thank God for not only supporting me in my studies but also for your sacrificial giving, love, care and prayers that you have shown and extended to my family, especially when BJ was hospitalized until her home going to the Lord last May 14, 2020. If not for God’s Word that I learned from my online studies at FEBC, my family and I would find it very hard to accept and submit to God’s sovereign will and providence over our lives and family. God proved to us that He is powerful, in complete control over our lives and faithful in His promises for His children in Christ. Hence, the only source of comfort and strength for me and my wife during the intense trial that we experienced recently is trusting in God’s promises that He revealed from His precious Word.

Currently, I am continuing my online studies at FEBC and taking the online course on the Book of Ecclesiastes. I continue to praise and thank God because through this online course, God is comforting me especially that He is gradually enabling me to understand His purpose and plan for my life and family. Thank you very much once again TLBPC family for allowing me to experience the love of God by continually supporting me as an online student of FEBC.

Pastor Mark Albeza

I am very thankful and grateful to God for saving me from the punishment of my sins. He gave His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to die on the cross, to be buried, and then to rise from the dead the third day to give me complete salvation.

Let me take this opportunity to praise and thank God for giving me this great privilege to study online even though I am not worthy but He allowed me to study. Indeed, studying online is very difficult for me, especially as I am pioneering a small church. But I am grateful and thankful to God for His mercy in sustaining me and my family. I thank God for His promises and also for the generosity of the Christians in Singapore in the True Life Bible-Presbyterian Church. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to study online through Far Eastern Bible College (FEBC).

Thank you very much for your support in my studies despite the circumstances that we face today when we are in the midst of a pandemic and economic crisis. May the Lord God continue to use you for His glory and honour. I pray that God will protect and keep you all safe. I pray that one day God will allow me to see you all personally and to give my thanks to you all!

Deneb Joel Ganancial

I praise God for allowing me to be a student of Far Eastern Bible College from 2012 to the present. I was able to study God’s Word without even spending a cent from my pocket. Thank you very much for your support financially and also for including me in your prayers.

At present, God gave me the privilege to share the Gospel and His Word to churches and mission outreaches which He allows me to visit. It is very important to “rightly divide the Word of Truth”, to have the right doctrine and right practice and application. I am able to share the biblical truths and biblical doctrines that I have learned from FEBC to Christian brethren whenever God allows me to share His Word and the Gospel.

I am currently working in the government as an agriculturist and this gives me the privilege to share God’s Word with the farmers in the province. It is also my joy to share my acquired knowledge to our fellow brethren who depend on agriculture for their livelihood. I thank God for opening doors for me to serve Him and to use my profession for the furtherance of the Gospel.

Please do include me, my wife Caresh and our daughter Cassey in your prayers. Please pray that the Lord will lead us and direct us according to His plan. Please pray also that we will be sensitive enough to listen to the Master’s call whenever and wherever He leads us. “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you” (Phil 1:3). To God be the glory!
