DVBC ONLINE

Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay Online.

In view of the social distancing measures to keep the COVID-19 pandemic in check, Far Eastern Bible College (FEBC) is offering its Daily Vacation Bible College (DVBC) courses online this time. Since the government has called on all to stay home and not go out, your “homestay” or “staycation” at this time can be put to good use by studying God’s Word.

Four online courses are offered: (1) The Sevenfold Will of God, (2) Dispensationalism and Covenant Theology, (3) Zechariah, and (4) History of Fundamentalism. The courses are held concurrently from May 11 to July 5, 2020, and are offered free of charge during this time of pandemic lockdown. You may choose to take any course or all four if you wish.

The study of God’s Word is vital for our spiritual health and life. In such trying and difficult times, the Word of God gives us counsel and comfort, hope and strength. When the Scriptures are faithfully and prayerfully studied, the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth (John 16:13) and grants us wisdom so that we might live our lives to the glory of God (2 Cor 4:6).

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Eph 5:15–16).

Here are the course descriptions:

The Sevenfold Will of God
One Credit

Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo

This course acquaints students with the seven aspects of God’s sovereign will. Knowing the sevenfold will of God will give God’s people certainty and clarity on what life is all about and what God desires of His people as they live for Him. It will help believers make good and right decisions that will please God, and keep them on the right track in their journey towards heaven. The lectures were originally delivered at a church camp in 2012.

Dispensationalism and Covenant Theology
One Credit

Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo

This course is a comparative and evaluative study of dispensationalism and covenant theology especially in the areas of hermeneutics, ecclesiology, soteriology, and eschatology. It seeks to articulate the Reformed and premillennial view of God’s redemptive plan and of the end-times for both His Church and the nation of Israel.

Zechariah
Two Credits

Rev Dr Jeffrey Khoo

This course is a devotional study of the book of Zechariah. Zechariah is a book which highlights the sovereignty and faithfulness of God. God is shown to be in control of world events through all His prophecies and promises to His chosen nation Israel and to His Church. Zechariah also has plenty to say about the First and Second Coming of Christ. The sermons were originally delivered at the worship services of True Life BPC.

History of Fundamentalism

Through this course, students will gain a basic knowledge of the history of Biblical Fundamentalism and of the men who defended the historic Christian Faith in modern times. Students will see God’s providence at work in preserving His Church, how God used faithful men to defend His Truth, and be warned of the dangerous doctrines and movements that seek to destroy the Faith.
