Dear Brethren and Friends,
Welcome to the Filipino Bible Fellowship!
Indeed our God is good, faithful and true to His promises. He kindly provides for all our needs in the most perfect time for our heavenly Father knows that we have need of all these things (Matthew 6:32). As you read the testimonies below (more next week), I pray the Spirit of God will also move you to write your thanksgiving to the Lord. Please do so and submit to me so we can share them to others that they too will see how good and great our God is! — Bro Jose
TRINIDAD BIBLE-PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, TRINIDAD, BOHOL
The date December 16, 2021 is unforgettable for Trinidad and the missions station here. It is because of Typhoon Odette (internationally known as Rai). The people here may have murmured against such an unexpected calamity which resulted to the loss of their homes and their living, but for the missions work, the typhoon served to knock at their doors for Bible studies and prayer meetings. It eventually led to the furtherance of the gospel. Ironically, this time they have no houses to open as these were destroyed by the strong winds.
I can still remember freshly when the typhoon ravaged us. We were in one of the rooms of the Lagapa’s ancestral house and when the winds blew, it was very strong that the roofs above us started to fly away. Then, the glass windows shattered in front of us. Within one and a half hour, we felt the whole house move upward as if the strong winds tried to carry us somewhere. It was not until after 30 minutes that the wind and rain slowed down but to our surprise, it came back with the same speed for almost two hours. We still thank our God that He spared our lives. Only our things and the house was destroyed.
On behalf of the people of God in Trinidad, we unfathomably acknowledge with immeasurable thanks to the Lord through the brethren in Singapore who extended to us both prayer and financial support. These helped us in propagating the gospel to the hard-hearted people of Bohol who always find excuses not to hear God’s Words. Some of those who received the aids are Roman Catholics, a few members of the Trinity Baptist Church and our own brothers and sisters who regularly attend our Sunday worship services. They were hoping and longing to receive blessings just to buy materials for their shelters especially during rainy days, as many are sleeping under makeshifts only. Thank God, through the financial aid, some managed to buy galvanized iron for their roofing. Although, as of March 10, almost three months after the tragedy, there are still houses that remain in ruins because those affected belong to the average income earner.
Please pray that the LORD will pour out His grace upon Trinidad that many will believe in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. – Pr Rodolfo Gayon

God Is Forever Faithful and Good
My family and I would like to express once again our heartfelt gratitude to the Lord through the True Life BP Church. Thank God for the brethren’s continued prayer and recent financial support. Typhoon Odette was a difficult trial for us (plus the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic). But in spite of all the hardships we've been through, still we could say that God is forever faithful and good. This is indeed a season of testing for us. But as God had promised, His guiding hand was upon us (Isaiah 43:2). As we keep on trusting in His word and walk by faith and not by sight, we cannot murmur, nor blame Him because everything happens for a reason. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
Praise God we have a spiritual family! Your faithful prayers and generous support have demonstrated the Lord’s deep commitment to the work here in the Philippines. All glory be to God! — Pr Jose Mangco and family
God Is with Us All the Way
I would like to give thanks to the Lord for His grace, mercies, and His providence especially with the recent calamity that affected us and our livelihood. As Christians, we do not expect that everything will turn out according to our plans and comfort. God made it clear in Isaiah 45:7 that He forms “the light, and create darkness” and He makes “peace, and create evil…” Ever since sin corrupted this world, all are bound to face challenges and difficulties including us believers but nevertheless, we rejoice and are glad for we have the hope and assurance in the Lord. So, whatever life has to offer before us, we trust that God is with us all the way. We experienced this firsthand compassion to us when typhoon Odette rampaged through the island of Cebu. Although we received damages to our homes, yet God has kept us safe and preserved us. Furthermore, as we are recipients of God’s marvelous grace, we experienced the love of our fellow brethren from True Life Bible-Presbyterian Church who extended their helping hands to distribute calamity funds for us to stand up once again. As a member of True Life BPC and also Christ BPC, I am so encouraged and blessed by the love shown towards our fellow brethren. I also rejoice knowing and seeing my brethren here in Christ BPC, having teary eyes and smiling faces as they received the love gifts. I understood their joy and I cannot help but praise the Lord. I give thanks in silence, even offering thanksgiving to the Lord in our worship services, and in my private and family prayers. I pray, the Lord will cause our brethren at Christ BPC to see more of the wondrous love the Lord has for them. I pray also that those who are still outside of Christ may truly acknowledge and receive Him as their Lord and personal Savior. And for baptized believers, that they may be drawn closer to the Lord and His word, be strengthened and mature in faith, and become blessings to others as well. Soli Deo Gloria! – Jude Gabales and family
I thank the Lord for all the blessings that are overflowing in my life. I am not writing this to brag but to give thanks for His unending grace for He has always been and will always be faithful. He has been there ever since I took my first breath up until now. I should be forever grateful to Him.
I thank God for giving me another day, another chance to become a better individual, another chance to experience His great love. All through my ups and downs, God is there for me even when no one else was. He loves me unconditionally. I’m grateful for His blessings and humbled by His love. Thank God for being there for me, He never left me but always loves me. Thank God for blessing me with a beautiful life. I am grateful to Him for this life that He let me know Who He is and how important He is in my life. I always feel like I cannot thank Him enough and while thinking of it, He surprises me again with another blessing.
Our God is indeed a good God! I am still alive, still healthy and still blessed. I thank God for another day. Thank God for He always helps me out with many troubles and giving me the patience to deal with everything. Without Him, life has no meaning. I thank God for always giving me the chance to be a better version of myself and guiding me throughout life. Thank God for giving me life and blessing me with wonderful people and many opportunities.
I thank the Lord for using True Life BP Church/Filipino Bible Fellowship as an instrument in helping us financially and spiritually in our lives. I always pray for the safety and protection of all our brothers and sisters there in Singapore as well as here in the Philippines. I thank the Lord so much. I wish I could speak over a hundred languages, but I cannot. All I am able to say is…thank you! Indeed our Lord is the ever faithful God. — Imelda V. Napoles
